The Yellville-Summit Panthers traveled to Mountainburg to play the Mountainburg Dragon Friday night at 7 p.m. The Panthers have not started a game by possessing the football first all season. This thought did not change on Friday.
Tuesday, September 5, at 7 p.m., the Yellville-Summit (Y-S) Panthers hosted the first home football game of the season by welcoming the Lighthouse Christian (LHC) Chargers into Panthers Stadium for a nonconference contest with the Panther winning 42-0.
The Yellville-Summit Panthers continued the roadshow to start the 2023 football season in Johnson County against the Westside Rebels on Friday, September 1, at 7 p.m. The Panthers ran the Rebels from one end of the football field to the other and defeated the Rebels by the score of 36-0 with a running clock in the second half of the game.
Yellville-Summit Panthers traveled to open the 2023 football season to play the Baptist Prep Eagles in Little Rock to defeat the Eagles 44-20. The game was delayed because of the excessive heat warning and began at approximately 8:07 p.m. with weather conditions being hot and humid on the field.
Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly fried fish and shrimp dinner this coming Friday, September 1 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
