Congratulations to the Yellville-Summit Lady Panthers for advancing to the 2023 Class 2A State Championship tournament played at Rector High School. The Lady Panthers face the eventual state champion in the opening round of the tourney and fell to Mount Vernon-Enola 63-53.

MILWAUKEE – As a boisterous, sold-out Saturday night crowd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, watched on, the Nashville Stampede’s Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil) dominated, winning Round 1 of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast’s Brew City Classic inside Fiserv Forum.

PUEBLO – Ahead of the second season of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Team Series, the League has announced it will host three sanctioned rider Combines leading into a Combine Championship. The PBR Team Series Combine: The Future of Bull Riding for the 2023 season will work toward the long- term objective of rider development, while allowing new riders and unrestricted free agents an opportunity to showcase their skills to Team Coaches and General Managers during the current Free Agency period and prior to the 2023 Draft to be held on May 17 during PBR World Finals in Fort Worth, TX.

MOUNTAIN HOME - Big Creek Golf & Country Club is offering three separate junior camps this summer for area youth. All three are open to the public.

Tournament HECTOR - Girls: Mansfield 60 – Ozark Mountain 48 Yellville-Summit 50 – Western Yell County 47 Hector 64 – Cotter 41 Boys: Ozark Mountain 57 – Mansfield 42 Yellville-Summit Lady Panthers and the Ozark Mountain Bears advance to play at the State Tournament in Rector, Arkansas, beginning Tuesday, February 28. Congratulations to the Cotter Lady Warriors and Ozark Mountain Lady Bears for competing in the Regional Tournament.
