For many student athletes in North Central Arkansas, sports begins when the school year begins. Some players work on their game year-round to become the best player possible. This idea is popular for student athletes of other sports as well.

Atmosphere Y-S Basketball

I was able to attend the Yellville vs. Valley Springs basketball game on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. (I was only able to be there for the boys’ game). While the Panthers lost a close game, I was very proud and impressed by the entire environment. The players were fundamentally sound, in shape, played hard and were very well coached. They had a great attitude, displayed good sportsmanship, and didn’t argue with the referees.

Yellville-Summit Basketball Homecoming

Congratulations to the 2025 Y-S Panther Basketball Homecoming Court. We will celebrate our royalty with festivities on Friday, January 31, at Panther Pavilion. The evening will begin with junior boys playing Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. followed by homecoming festivities. Senior boys will then play followed by the senior girls.
