The week ahead is going to busier than normal. The Editor will attend School Board meeting, Quorum Court meeting, and feature a business of the week.

In Marion County, the politics can be fluid and on occasions needlessly rigid. The current period can be seen as bumpy, especially when considering the Marion County Quorum Court (MCQC).

Dear Marion County Officials, I have been providing information to Marion County officials for a number of years when asked specific questions by any of the county elected officials or by justices of the quorum court - and I’m glad to do so. That’s my job, at least in part. I’ve been doing this kind of work for better than 42 years and probably know county government operations and law as well as anyone in the state. But, in just the last few months it appears that my answers to questions get miscommunicated; misconstrued; and/or misunderstood by some.

The week ahead is not expected to be a heavy week. The Editor will attend a City Council Meeting, cover a high school student signing a National Letter of Intent to play sports at a Division-1 University, find a great place to eat breakfast and cover a local business that donates all revenue.

After the May Marion County Quorum Court (MCQC) meeting, some in attendance left the Marion County Courthouse with disturbing questions. One person said we need to send in the clowns.

The Yellville-Summit School Board is scheduled to meet Monday, June 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the Y-S District Building for their regularly scheduled meeting. The board will discuss financials, equipment and possible projects to improve the school.
