submitted by Nate Bell, ACT Little Rock – Today, Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin rejected four submissions for proposed popular names and ballot titles for the Arkansas Citizens for Transparency (ACT) Drafting Committee’s proposed constitutional amendment aimed at maintaining and protecting government transparency in Arkansas.

Doc Dykes was a frequent visitor to the pool hall in 1963. He was quiet and good humored, plagued with petit-mal seizures on occasion. Doc Dykes was a chiropractor, and likely as educated a man as our pool hall ever seen. Well dressed, he always wore a long grey overcoat, and usually a dress shirt and tie beneath it. Occasionally he played a game of snooker and was fairly good at it.

John Spence, Flippin Police Chief Saturday December 30, 2023, at approximately 11:58 p.m., a City of Flippin Police Officer responded to investigate a call from a concerned citizen regarding suspicious vehicle in a parking lot of a church in the city. The officer contacted a male, who was asleep in a vehicle.

Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its first monthly fried fish and shrimp dinner of 2024 this coming Friday, January 5 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
