Book, Bake and Yard Sale

The Friends of the Marion County Library are having their first Book/ bake/yard sale this year at the American Legion Hut on the dates of April 18, 19 and 20 of this year. These sales are our way of raising money to support our library in Marion County.

Mike Scrima

started the Oakland/Promiseland Fire Protection District. Mike was a champion for the firefighters working in Marion County by consistently fighting for higher revenues from taxes to assist the firefighters by purchasing new gear, vehicles and better education about firefighting.

Friday- Chance of rain with a high near 60 degrees and a low near 35 degrees. Saturday- Showers expected with a high of 52 degrees and a low near 32 degrees. Sunday- Sunny with a high around 58 degrees and a low near 35 degrees. Next week: Expect warmer weather returning and highs to stay in the 60s and 70s and lows in the 40s early in the week with partly cloudy Monday through Wednesday for Marion County and North Central Arkansas.

First Dinner Meeting

The first 2024 dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Tuesday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m., in the Flippin cafeteria. Powell Feed and Fertilizer will be sponsoring the meeting and program.
