Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander announced Investigator Silas Gibson recently graduated from the 25th Session of the Crime Scene Technician Certificate Program (CSTCP) of the Criminal Justice Institute, a division of the University of Arkansas system.

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Twin Lakes Unit 30 will be meeting on Wednesday June 19, 2024. The location will be the Heinz-Willett Wellness Center at Good Samaritan Campus, 300 Good Samaritan Drive, Mountain Home.

Every year The Marion County Nursing Home Auxiliary, Inc., (MCNHA) awards several $1,000 scholarships to eligible students graduating from Marion County school districts. Along with the purpose of MCNHA being “to promote and advance the welfare of the Marion County Nursing Homes and its residents… [W]e also propose to assist other endeavors to benefit the health and welfare of the people of Marion County, as finances permit.”

The Cotter Public Schools board met Thursday, June 13 at 7 p.m. inside the district office to discuss district policies, handbook changes, and curriculum for the next school year.
