Do all good things come to an end? The Mountanineer Echo has been a mainstay in Marion County and has only cost $.50 for over 20 years. The Echo will cost $1.00 starting January 1, 2022.
Rogers- The American Red Cross of Missouri and Arkansas is coordinating with local emergency management officials and community partners for potential community needs as winter weather is expected to move into the two-state area along with the potential for severe storms in Arkansas.
Little Rock– The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism has hired Jeff LeMaster to be its chief of communications. The chief of communications at ADPHT oversees all communications, marketing, public relations and media relations activities at the department. Le-Master will begin in the role on Jan. 3 at a salary of $74,094.
Fayetteville- Angelica Crowley, APRN, recently joined the Washington Regional emergency department where she provides care for patients with acute illnesses and injuries. Crowley earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University. She has been a nurse practitioner for more than two years and has experience in family medicine, home health and intensive care.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (December 27, 2021) – Schools, universities, government agencies and nonprofit groups around the state could receive funds to further the important work they’re doing in their communities. The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas will begin accepting mini grant applications January 1, 2022.
Mountain Home- Baxter Regional Health System is pleased to announce that Cardiovascular Associates of North Central Arkansas will be joining the Baxter Regional family of clinics. We cannot believe 2021 has come to an end. It has been a tough year, but it has been a good year. We have cared for a substantial number of animals, found them outstanding homes and have successfully spayed or neutered close to 1000 animals from the Shelter, through the Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinics and the Community Cat Project. We wonder if we will ever see a time where animals are no longer abandoned or dumped in our communities.
On Tuesday, December 14, the Marion County Quorum Court met at 5 p.m. to discuss the Library Board, the resigning Marion County Collector and bonus pay for county offices at the Marion County Courthouse. Flippin-NATCO is announcing that Micha Johnson has joined their Engineering team as Facilities Planner. In his new position, Johnson will be planning and coordinating all outside plant construction activity within NATCO’s service area, including aerial and buried cable route extensions, upgrades, and replacement activities.
