Graphic Arts and the Reading Experience: An Evening with Nate Powell

The Marion County Sheriffs Office will conduct “SLITTLE ROCK—The Arkansas Center for the Book at the Arkansas State Library is pleased to announce an online program featuring Nate Powell on the theme The Graphic Arts and the Reading Experience. The program is in collaboration with the Indiana Center for the Book at the Indiana State Library and will take place via Zoom Webinar on Thursday, February 17, at 6:30 p.m.

Work Zone Safety Campaign ‘Slow Down, Phone Down’

Submitted by Britni Padilla-Dumas Little Rock- The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), together with Arkansas State Police (ASP) and Arkansas Highway Police (AHP), announced today a new work zone safety campaign aimed at cracking down on reckless and distracted driving in work zones across the state. The Slow Down, Phone Down campaign will deploy increased ASP and AHP patrols in work zones to watch for dangerous driving.

Family Practice Clinic and New Provider in Mammoth Spring join BRHS

Mountain Home- Baxter Regional Medical Center announced on February 1, 2022, that Family Health Care, located at 350 Main Street #4 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, has joined the Baxter Regional Health System. Tamra Ward, APRN, the primary provider at the newly named Baxter Regional Family Health Center has joined Baxter Regional as well and will continue providing care to Mammoth Spring and the surrounding area.

BSCC (Bull Shoals City Council) was called to order by Mayor Nixon, The Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag was followed by the roll call and Ms. Bailey announced we have a quorum to conduct business. BR Reppell Diabetes Learning Center Receives Approval for Renewal of Accreditation

Womack Pays Tribute “The Coast Guard Lady”

Washington, DC- February 4, 2022....Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today spoke on the House floor to honor the life and legacy of the late Lois Bouton of Rogers, who was affectionately known as “The Coast Guard Lady.” Lois—a World War II veteran and member of the Greatest Generation—had a devotion to service and the U.S. Coast Guard that followed her through life. Womack’s tribute recognized her unmatched work to uplift her fellow Coasties by writing thousands upon thousands of letters to those protecting us from coast to coast. This lifelong patriot will be laid to rest in Arkansas on Monday, February 7th.
