Hello readers of the Mountaineer Echo, I hope this week’s recipe’s find you all in good health and happy thoughts. Things are going well with the family currently. We are starting to get really excited about spring getting here, quite tired of the cold weather, as Robert says 50 degrees and below is freezing. Hopefully some of these quick recipes will come in handy as we are all preparing our gardens and enjoying some warmer weather outside. I know as the warmer weather comes around, I enjoy more time outside and I do not like to cook as much. As Always, Remember the Little Things in Life, they bring us so much joy and memories.

ATU adjusts scholarships to create more opportunities

RUSSELLVILLE- High school seniors who are planning to attend Arkansas Tech University in fall 2022 have enhanced opportunities to receive scholarships as part of newly announced scholarship tiers. ATU has changed its freshman academic scholarships to solely focus on high school grade point average (GPA), providing more earning opportunity for prospective students who enroll at ATU this fall.

A Lunker Bass and a Small Rock

It was March about 15 years ago, and the bass I was fighting was a dandy. I lifted a spinnerbait up over the top of some underwater logs and he nailed it. After a long winter, a fellow need something like that, a hard fight that ruffles the surface considerably, a casting rod with a little backbone in it arced hard, a bass that feels bigger than he is when you get him in the boat. I said, as I held him high for my uncle to look at, that he’d go seven pounds.
