Fifteen species of native chipmunks of the genus Eutamias and one of the genus Tamias are found in North America. The eastern chipmunk, Tamias Striatus and the least chipmunk, Eutamias Minimas are the two most widely distributed and notable species. Behavior and damage are similar among all species of native chipmunks, so damage control recommendations are similar for all species.

MCQC votes to purchase Grader

On Tuesday, March 10, the Marion County Quorum Court met at 6 p.m. in the Marion County Courthouse on the Square in Yellville to discuss ordinances, hear reports from the county committee’s and citizens comments. Claudia Brigham, Brady Madden, Wesley Shipman, James Underwood, Mike Scrima, Joyce McCalla, Rick White, Talon Vancuren and Marty Nickels were in attendance, along John Massey, Marion County Judge.

AG Rutledge Secures $141 Million for American Consumers Deceived by Intuit’s TurboTax

Little Rock – Attorney General Leslie Rutledge secured a settlement with the owner of TurboTax, Intuit Inc. (Intuit), for deceiving consumers in to paying for tax services that should have been free. As a result of a multistate agreement, Intuit will pay $141 million in restitution to millions of consumers across the nation who were unfairly charged. In addition, Intuit must suspend TurboTax’s “free, free, free” ad campaign that lured customers with promises of free tax preparation services, only to deceive them into paying for those services. All 50 states and the District of Columbia have signed onto the agreement. Almost 36,000 Arkansas consumers will share the $1.067 million in restitution payments.
