The Ozark Mountain Boys Basketball team advanced to the 2A-1 Regional Tournament at Hackett. The next game is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, at 5:30 p.m. versus the Mountainburg Dragons. The Bears will be the #2 seed, while Mountainburg will be a #3 seed.

Death Investigation in Yellville
Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that on February 23, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received a 911 call about an unresponsive male at a residence on State Highway 14, south of Yellville.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that over half of children aged six to eight years old and over half of adolescents aged 12 to 19 have had a cavity in one of their baby or adult teeth. Cavities are preventable, though, and the CDC has recommendations for parents to help prevent them in babies and children.

To be considered to earn the Gold Seal of Approval, hospitals and clinics need to demonstrate compliance with high standards of performance through rigorous, unannounced, onsite observations, where a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluate compliance in many areas of health care. The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients.
