Hello, I hope this week finds everyone in good health and happy spirits. We have kicked off the New Year and I hope everyone had a blast going out with the old and coming in to the new.
FLIPPIN – Casey’s (NASDAQ: CASY), the third largest convenience store retailer and fifth-largest pizza chain in the United States, yesterday announced the opening of its store in Flippin. Located at 100 E Main St, the store opening celebration— complete with in-store specials and Casey’s handmade pizza—will begin on December 29, 2022.
Sunday, January 1, following the swearing in ceremony, the new Marion County Judge, Jason Stumph and new Marion County Sheriff gathered to ask for blessing on the offices and administrations. Stumph and approximately 30 family and friends gathered outside the MC Judge’s office to pray and ask God to bless the office, the county, judge and peace for Marion County.
Newly Elected Officials and supporters gathered at the Marion County Courthouse Sunday, January 1, 2023, to swear to an oath to serve the city, county, state and United States to preserve and improve the way of life for Marion County residents.
The new Marion County Sheriff exited the Marion County Courthouse and immediately went to his new office at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, MCSO, to receive a blessing from Dave Wallace of George’s Creek.
I sometimes refer to John as my little buddy. He may be small in stature, but he is huge in his helpfulness and dedication to our VFW and his friends. His tireless support has made VFW Post 1341 a better post.
The Marion County Republican Committee will meet Thursday, January 12, 2023, upstairs in the Marion County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. The public and members are invited to attend.
LITTLE ROCK – Farmers and landowners in two USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCCP) project areas in Arkansas can apply to receive assistance to implement conservation activities. The projects will offer financial assistance to landowners in fiscal year 2022.
BOSTON - After a tumultuous year for gas prices, some relief may be on the way in 2023. The yearly national average price of gas in 2023 is forecast to drop nearly 50 cents per gallon from that of 2022 to $3.49, according to GasBuddy’s 2023 Fuel Outlook released today.
