LITTLE ROCK — The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas are hosting the 2023 Arkansas State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 11 at the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock. The public is invited to attend the event.

“The Circle of Friends” grief support group, formerly The Compassionate Friends, will be meeting at their new location at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 511 Coley Drive, in Mountain Home.

The first 2023 dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Thursday. March 9, at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, February 16, the Cotter School Board met at 7 p.m. on the campus of Cotter School District. School board members Allen Franks Jimmy Morgan, Cameron Ross and Russel Duggins were in attendance along with Jayme Jones, Superintendent, and other school administrators.

Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly all-u-can-eat fried fish and shrimp dinner this coming Friday, March 3 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.

The Marion County Republican Committee will meet Thursday, March 9, 2023, upstairs in the Marion County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. The public and members are invited to attend.

The Marion County Budget Committee will meet on Monday, March 6 at 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
