MCFB recognized for production
YELLVILLE – Marion County Farm Bureau was recognized at the Farm Bureau Statewide Agents and Agency Managers meeting in March for total performance during 2022. Sample received the #1 Agency-Loss Ratio-SFB Casualty award for outstanding insurance production.

Gregg Alexander, Marion County Sheriff For the week, Marion County Deputies responded to one hundred seven (107) calls for service and took sixteen (16) incident reports. Officers responded to six (6) domestic calls, took eight (8) theft reports and provided ten (10) wellbeing checks. Deputies made one (1) felony and four (4) misdemeanor arrests. A deputy graduated from basic training at the Law Enforcement Training Academy in Pocahontas. Investigators opened four (4) felony case investigations, completed affidavits and applied for arrest warrants for two (2) suspects charged with one (1) felony each. Investigators conducted six (6) interviews related to ongoing investigations and assisted in the search for a local runaway.

By Robert Lyons, Editor Late in 2022, Marion County received a common-sense gift that has improved the safety for all residents and visitors. Hwy 62/412 traveling East from Yellville to almost Flippin widened to three lanes then narrowed back before widening to four lanes with a turn lane in the middle of the Highway. At times, the way the lanes were constructed created unsafe conditions for drivers.
