Shelley Burch Named Director of Patient Financial Access

Fayetteville — Washington Regional has named Shelley Burch, CHAM, CRCR, as director of patient financial access. In her new role, Burch will be responsible for developing strategies to improve the overall patient access experience while overseeing the operations of patient access departments including central scheduling, precertification, preregistration, clinic admissions, admitting, emergency department admitting and public benefits.

Early Voting Continues in MC

At the September 9 meeting, the Marion County Election Commission discussed a few items in preparation for the upcoming general election. Hangin’ Out at the Razorback

Every small town seems to have a “spot.” The place where everyone goes to hang out. Those spots often become the hub because of the people who run them. Flippin in the 1960’s was no different. Over the years there were several different little cafes, a few I remember on Main Street, but most of them were open only for breakfast and lunch. But in the early and mid-60’s, the Razorback Drive-In became “the” place to be for a lot of us. Opening around 1962, the Razorback was started by Rudy and Wanda “Dude” Johnston, and it sat where Gray’s Diner now is, although it was a different building entirely.
