Randy Zellers, AGFC Little Rock – Dove hunters searching for a place to hunt still have a few days to scout some fields for opening weekend, but the clock is ticking. In case you haven’t been able to find a location through private fields, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission prepares a few locations on public land for hunters who want to enjoy a first shot at the season.
The number one draw to the Murfreesboro area is the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The first diamond was found here in 1906 by John Huddleston, a farmer who owned a portion of the diamond bearing crater at that time.

The people of Bull Shoals have supported a local library since 1981 when North Arkansas Regional Library retired a small bookmobile for Bull Shoals to use as a Library, according the The History of Bull Shoals by Robert Harper. The Social Concerns Committee of the United Methodist Church ran the bookmobile as a service to the community. It was replaced by a larger bookmobile in 1984.
