Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Bull Shoals Lake – White River Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Saturday, December 3, at 6 p.m. Parade lineup is scheduled at 5 p.m.

LITTLE ROCK - Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston welcomes you to enjoy the tradition of the Arkansas State Capitol Christmas Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 3 at 5:30 p.m. Rex Nelson, senior editor for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette and author of three books, will emcee the 84th anniversary of this event.

Rea Valley Fire Protection District will meet Monday, December 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Station 1.

The American Legion Post #61 of Yellville will host Coffee and donuts first Saturday, December 3, at 9 a.m. The event is open for all veterans.

The Marion County Library wants to let you know, there is not an opening date, but the library is offering curbside service. “We are in the building, answering phones and responding to emails; along with dealing with the damage of the flood.”, said Dana Scott, library director.

JONESBORO – After announcing in September it would be ending contracts with thousands of community pharmacies, Express Scripts, the Pharmaceutical Benefit Manager (PBM) for TRICARE, has partially reversed course. It delivered a letter Friday to some independent pharmacies in Arkansas asking them to re-join its network. The Express Scripts letter attributes the change to its inability to reach agreement with Kroger to join the Express Scripps network.
