And, again, it’s causing me to stroll down the proverbial “memory lane.” I was one of those kids who could hardly wait each summer for school to get out so I would be free to spend the days having adventures, riding my beloved bike with my ride-or-die friend, Vickie, and more.
The Marion County Fair begins Tuesday, September 12 and will conclude Saturday, September 16 at the Marion County Fairgrounds. School Day is Thursday, September 14, at 9 a.m.

Lands Office LITTLE ROCK – The recent auction of tax-delinquent properties in Boone, Marion, Newton and Searcy Counties raised over $266 thousand; the Commissioner of State Lands announced. The regional auction drew 95 registered bidders, who purchased 92 of 96 parcels for $266,895.30.
There are some problems this time of year for an outdoorsman who takes to the woods. It is the beginning of a more aggressive situation with copperheads due to the heat and skin- shedding time. And the yellow jackets nesting in the ground can be awful if you step on a nest of them.
