The Marion County Airport Board meeting for August is scheduled for Monday, August 21 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the airport.

August 21, Alan Holder will turn 70. Monte Wood will turn 70 on August 31.

August 18, 2023, at the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts, The Flippin/Cotter Band will take the stage from 7 to 9 p.m. This is a free event.

And, again, it’s causing me to stroll down the proverbial “memory lane.” I was one of those kids who could hardly wait each summer for school to get out so I would be free to spend the days having adventures, riding my beloved bike with my ride-or-die friend, Vickie, and more.

The Marion County Fair begins Tuesday, September 12 and will conclude Saturday, September 16 at the Marion County Fairgrounds. School Day is Thursday, September 14, at 9 a.m.
