It seems every generation, at least the ones I’ve known members of, looks back on their childhoods as simpler, better times. Sure, maybe with some hardships and tragedies along the way, but, by and large, there are fond memories. I am no different.

“If stress burned calories, I’d be a super model” is a humorous quote found in online searches of funny stress quotes. While stress is inevitable, humor is sometimes a helpful coping skill.

I love the outdoor life I live because all day long when I am on the river or exploring the woods, I see spectacular things that remind me that God is still in charge somewhere, though those places grow fewer nowadays.

With the recent cold weather and freezing temperatures, and sure to follow in the coming months, have you thought about ways for your livestock to get water with limited work from you. If you are like a lot of farmers in the area, we have to have a second job to help make ends meet, we go out in the dark, put some hay out, do a quick count and off to work.
