The women of Mountain Home Moose Lodge will hold a beef pot roast dinner fundraiser this Friday, September 13 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The menu includes scrumptious roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggie, roll, dessert and a beverage.

The topic of “first cars” is always good for a stroll down the proverbial Memory Lane. A year or so back, I wrote in another column about learning to drive in the 1960s, along with some notable cars of my childhood.

Mark your calendars now! The Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 has scheduled its popular 16th annual GermanFest for Saturday, October 19. The menu will once again include sauerbraten, bratwurst, hot German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut, hot pretzel with apple strudel for dessert.

The Marion County Election Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 6 p.m. in their office in the courthouse. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the budget for 2025. The public is invited to attend.

By Robert Lyons The Flippin Lady Bobcats hosted the Bergman Lady Panthers in a district volleyball contest Thursday, September 6, with matches beginning at approximately 4:30 p.m. There were four matches on the schedule starting with two junior high competitions and ending with a JV and Varsity matchup.

The North Central Arkansas Military Service Sisters will be holding its quarterly dinner on Thursday Sept 12, 2024, at 6 p.m. The location will be the Rabbit Hole Coffeehouse and Brew, 407 S.

Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly fried fish and shrimp dinner this coming Friday, June 7 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
