Flippin Update

The Wastewater Project is continuing to move forward with the following progress: A total of 21,766 feet of 6-inch to 8-inch pipe burst completed and tested.

Flu Vaccine Clinic Announced

The Marion County Health Unit of the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) will offer a drive through community flu vaccination clinic at no charge at their office located at 707 highway 202 Yellville, on Thursday, September 26, from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. People should bring their insurance cards with them to the flu vaccine clinic. If they do not have insurance, or the insurance does not cover flu shots, the vaccine will still be available at no charge.

Pat Rodgers 2024 Marion County Fair Parade Grand Marshall

Pat Rodgers has been a Master Gardener since 1994. She is a charter member of the group, one of the only three charter members left currently. The Master Gardeners have been active in managing the horticultural exhibits for the Marion County Fair since 1995 as well as the beautification of our community. Pat has won many awards in the County Fair, including high point, and many best of shows, including foe her many beautiful, crocheted Afghans, her African Violets, canned goods, peppers and onions. Pat continues to garden and grows many beautiful plants at her Marion County home. She is honored to have been selected as this year’s Marion County Fair Parade Grand Marshall and wishes everyone a fun fair season.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that on September 1, at approximately 6:08 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence on Marion County (MC) Road 6018 after receiving a call about a male who was not breathing and was unresponsive. A Deputy and an Investigator arrived at the scene and met with first responders who identified the unresponsive male as Michael Smyth, 74 YOA.
