First, I want to thank all of you who have asked me why I quit writing my column, Growing Up Flippin, and who expressed how much they had enjoyed reading it. The fact of the matter is, after two years and almost 100 columns, I simply ran out of what I hoped were entertaining memories.

LITTLE ROCK – Survivors of the severe storms that ripped through eight counties in northern Arkansas May 24-27 have one more month to apply for federal assistance.
