The North Central Arkansas Military Service Sisters will be holding its August luncheon on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 12 Noon. The location will be Little B’s, on the corner of Bomber Blvd.
The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Twin Lakes Unit 30 will be meeting on Wednesday August 21, 2024. The location will be the Heinz-Willett Wellness Center at Good Samaritan Campus, 300 Good Samaritan Drive, Mountain Home.
The Fleet Reserve Association Branch 251 meeting is set for Saturday, August 17 ,2024. The new location is the Glenbriar Commons club house, 2001 Superior Way, Mountain Home.
The American Legion Post #61 of Yellville held its monthly meeting August 08, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 18:00 hours by Dustin Beals, Commander.

Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports Deputies responded to a residence on MC Road 5040 after receiving a 911 call of a man being seriously injured. Investigators report that Steven Loy Davenport (W/M, 68 YOA) of Yellville, was fatally injured after falling from the roof of a house in which he had been working.
