Plans are underway for the Flippin School Fine Arts Extravaganza to be held on May 15-- 16. Monetary donations are being accepted to award young artists and their artworks grade 7-12.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) Educator Ken Forman was named the first “Honorary Master Naturalist” by North Central Arkansas Master Naturalists (NCAMN) in early May. Forman has been Educator/Interpreter at AGFC’s Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center for 12 years. He has taught numerous classes on a wide variety of nature topics for NCAMN members over the years and created many volunteer opportunities for them, including “Wild Wednesdays” summer programs for families. “Ken has made a significant contribution to our organization for many years,” says NCAMN President Paula Caprio. “We created this

The last 2024 spring dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Thursday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Flippin cafeteria. Farm Bureau and Ozarks Farm and Lawn will be sponsoring the meeting.

The Moose Riders of Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will host their annual “Blessing of the Bikes” on Saturday, May 18. The area event, now in its tenth year, closely coincides with a similar event held at Mooseheart, the organization’s “child city” located near Aurora, Illinois 40 miles west of Chicago.
