MCQC Adds FT Employee to MC Library

The Marion County Quorum Court met Tuesday, April 9, at 6 p.m., in the Marion County Courthouse to discuss the reports from county officials, proposed ordinances and other county business. Justices Miles Wellein, Claudia Brigham, Wesley Shipman, Rick White, Rolin Hutching, John Reed and Marty Nickels were in attendance along with Jason Stumph and Dawn Moffet. Talon Vancuren was absent from the meeting.

State Capitol Week in Review

The legislature convened the fiscal session and will spend the next month working on a $6.3 billion budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1. The legislature has always approved conservative budgets, and the balanced budget proposed by the governor is very conservative even by traditional standards.
