When area women gather monthly at New Hope Baptist Church in Yellville to do crafts, June Jefferson and Pat Hall spend their time making quilts to donate to charities. Recently they have been making quilts for children in foster care in Marion County.

Have-A-Heart Hello, Have-a-Heart friends! I swear, it seems every week we think this will be “the week” things will slow down around here. Ha! But we are blessed to do the work we do and help the fur babies we help to find their furever homes.

Hello, we are in the middle of May now and this time of the year reminds me so much of my summers as a Girl Scout Leader. I spent 14 years as a leader of my daughter’s troop and we had a blast. We went on day camps to weekend camps, and this is one of the meals we made because it was nutritious and very easy to make. The girls enjoyed it because they could make it the way they liked it. These are some of the Little Things that I can look back on and remember how fortunate I was. As Always Remember the Little Things.

Arkansas has some of the most beautiful waterfalls. Here are some that are very beautiful and would make a good day trip to go out and explore them.

Sometimes, to be a successful fisherman you have to become a diligent hunter. A friend and I did just that a few days ago, going up a swollen and muddy Sac River, looking for some tributaries where white bass and walleye might have moved into warming, clearer water. We found one, which had no walleye or white bass, but it was a beautiful spot with the clearer, deep water we were looking for.
