Volunteers gathered for a photo at Yellville-Summit High School durint the Individual Readiness Training conducted to provide free medical and dental treatment to area residents from Marion, Baxter and Boone Counties.
First up is Foxy! This boy is a handsome, 32 pound one-yearold red and white mixed breed dog. Foxy is a gentle stray who was rescued by a nice lady who took care of him until we could make room for him at the shelter.
I want to alert everyone that we intend to have our first ‘Common Sense Conservationists’ meeting of the Fall in Houston, Missouri, on Thursday, September 14, beginning at 7 p.m. We will meet in the rural firehouse building, situated just next to the Texas County Library.

Hey Mountain Echo fam, how is everyone’s week going? I hope it has been fantastic and the kiddos are getting back into the school routine smoothly. We had a rough week, but it ended well, Big Sis came home asking if we could just homeschool her and ended the week making a new friend.
It’s time to start planning for fall cover crops. No one wants to think of Harvest’s end just as the vegetable garden reaches its peak---but now is the time to plan for cover crops to be planted in the fall.
