Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen reporting that a post had been made on a social media platform directed towards “Marion County High School”, as well as threats made toward the Mountain Home Public Schools.

The September dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Thursday, September 19, at 6:30 in the Yellville-Summit cafeteria. The meeting will be sponsored by the Bank of 1889.

This week’s kitties of the week are Cherry, Frosty, and Sonic! This cute litter of the three was found without their mama, hiding under a rock overhang near the local Sonic Drive-In. A Good Samaritan saw them and looked for their mama without any luck.

Say hello to our canine of the week, Bambi! Bambi is a sweet brindle Cur mix girl who is around eight months old. She was picked up by Animal Control so, sadly, we do not know her history.

This mirrors the exact date Northark opened its doors 50 years ago in 1974.
