Mark your calendars now! The Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 has scheduled its popular 16th annual GermanFest for Saturday, October 19. The menu will once again include sauerbraten, bratwurst, hot German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut, hot pretzel with apple strudel for dessert.
Twin Lakes Playhouse has announced upcoming auditions for its final production of 2024, A Christmas Story. Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas.

Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen reporting that a post had been made on a social media platform directed towards “Marion County High School”, as well as threats made toward the Mountain Home Public Schools.

The September dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Thursday, September 19, at 6:30 in the Yellville-Summit cafeteria. The meeting will be sponsored by the Bank of 1889.

So, the man went and washed and came back seeing!

This week’s kitties of the week are Cherry, Frosty, and Sonic! This cute litter of the three was found without their mama, hiding under a rock overhang near the local Sonic Drive-In. A Good Samaritan saw them and looked for their mama without any luck.
