From Have- A- Heart Pet Shelter Noel, Stanley and Ollie This week’s featured canine is Noel! Noel is a very docile, well-manned mixed-breed girl estimated to be about two years old. She came to the Shelter from Animal Control with two other dogs so we think, with proper introductions, she would be good with existing pets.

There is a club in Fairfield Bay that has grown almost exponentially over the last two years. It grew so fast because it focuses on something many people here love to do called fishing, or better known if you are from Arkansas—fishin.

On Christmas Eve, many years ago, I lay quietly in my bed. I did not rustle the sheets. I breathed slowly and silently. I was listening for a sound – a sound a friend had told me I’d never hear- the ringing bells of Santa’s sleigh.
This week we want to write about the importance of teaching your children how to be a good pet owner. We were so happy to see the number of families at our booth at Christmas on the Square last week.
