October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when the world unites in a sea of pink ribbons, illuminating the urgency of breast cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. In Arkansas, more than 2,400 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

Hello friends, family, and readers of the Mountain Echo. I have added family to my greetings because I am super excited to know that my family supports us in this adventure and my list of family members is growing that have subscribed to the newspaper.

In 4-H programs, children and teens complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.

4-H is the premier youth development program conducted by the University of Arkansas System, Division of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service. 4-H, the four H’s we emphasize are: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health is designed to prepare young people to step up to the challenge in their communities and provide youth with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

Hello everyone, I hope this week finds everyone in good health and happy spirits. As for us, we are all doing well, just keeping up with the everyday things that make life go around. It has been busy lately with the newspaper and adding the YouTube streaming of local games we are all pitching in to make it all work.
