The Mountain Echo reported in the January 30 edition that Jon Thomas, J.T., Mott is now eligible to own or possess a gun, vote and run for office since President Donald Trump included Mott in the Presidential Pardon for the actions taken by patriots on January 6, 2021.

I was able to attend the Yellville vs. Valley Springs basketball game on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. (I was only able to be there for the boys’ game). While the Panthers lost a close game, I was very proud and impressed by the entire environment. The players were fundamentally sound, in shape, played hard and were very well coached. They had a great attitude, displayed good sportsmanship, and didn’t argue with the referees.

Happy February all! This week our featured canines are a pair of siblings, Tic and Tac. These boys are a Blue Heeler mix and came to us because their owner was no longer able to care for them, so they were surrendered to Have-A-Heart (HAH).

On April 1, the TRICARE Online Patient Portal will no longer be available. The Department of Defense’s new electronic health record—MHS GENESIS—has replaced the TOL Patient Portal. As part of the transition, the DOD is decommissioning the TOL Patient Portal. If you want to keep a copy of your legacy health records for personal use, you must download them from the TOL Patient Portal before April 1.
