Jimmy Carter, the peanut farmer who won the presidency in the wake of the Watergate scandal and Vietnam War, endured humbling defeat after one tumultuous term and then redefined life after the White House as a global humanitarian, has died. He was 100 years old.

Friday- Partly cloudy with a high near 37 degrees and a low near 20 degrees. Saturday- Increasing clouds with a high near 38 degrees and a low around 18 degrees.

In this special year-end issue of Arkansas Publisher Weekly, we remember those connected to APA and Arkansas journalism who died in 2024 and whose legacies will live on through the lives they touched. Many of the fallen journalists have helped set up the structure of Journalism in Arkansas. These journalists will be missed as well as their contributions.
