BNR Rehabilitates Villines Boyhood Home

Harrison – In 2022 a tree fell and damaged the roof of the Beaver Jim Villines Boyhood Home in Ponca. The damage to the roof compromised the integrity of the historic structure built in 1850 and made the log building unsafe to enter.

Jeff Ramori killed a wild turkey last October in Crawford County not far from Steelville and checked it legally. He then cleaned it and froze it. Shortly afterward a young conservation agent showed up and knocked on his door and wanted Jeff to show him the turkey and take him to where he had killed it.

The Defense Health Agency and the National Museum of Health and Medicine are pleased to announce the “Military Medical Innovation: The Future is Hereopens Medica Museum website” program scheduled for July 27, 2024. The family-friendly event starts at 10 a.m. and runs until noon. The event is free and open to the public.
