The Yellville-Summit Panthers welcomed the Melbourne Bearkatz Friday, September 29, to Panthers Stadium for Homecoming. At gametime, the skies were clear as the sun went down, and the temperature was 86 degrees.
Things went very well for our Flippin boys golf team today at the 3A State Tournament at Glenwood Country Club. The Bobcats finished as State runner-up, squeaking out Manila for that honor by one shot. Episcopal won the team championship, while Flippin had two golfers earn All-State honors: Tucker Thompson and Cody Downs.
Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly fried fish and shrimp dinner this coming Friday, October 6 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
