Quilt Appraisals

Alice McElwain will be appraising quilts at the Autumn in the Ozarks Quilt Show presented by Hill ‘N Hollow Quilters Guild on October 13 and 14, 2023 in the Educational Building at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. Each appraisal costs $50 and can be for insurance replacement value, fair market value, or for donation or estate purposes.

What is your biggest fear as a mom of school aged kids? What about elementary school aged kiddos or even young elementary school aged kiddos, kindergarteners and 1st graders? Honestly one of a parent’s biggest fears are that there would be a school shooting or bombing and parents could lose their children forever. The idea might lose a child and unless parents have measures in place, relying on the school to be able to find out where children are maybe is honestly unrealistic.

Rotary Scholarships

Alesia Owen, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee has announced that the Mid-Marion County Rotary Club awarded Seven (7) $1,000.00 scholarships this year to area high school graduates. 7th Annual Community School Update

The Flippin School District will hold its Annual 2023 Community School Update on Monday, September 11th at 4:30 in the HS New Gymnasium. The public is encouraged to attend. This informational meeting will cover the goal of Title I, Part A of the ESEA Act, parent rights, parent engagement, curriculum and assessment, and the district’s annual academic performance report.
