Panthers Run the Rebels

The Yellville-Summit Panthers continued the roadshow to start the 2023 football season in Johnson County against the Westside Rebels on Friday, September 1, at 7 p.m. The Panthers ran the Rebels from one end of the football field to the other and defeated the Rebels by the score of 36-0 with a running clock in the second half of the game.

The White Coat Program at Cotter

Today, in partnership with Baxter Health, the first students at Cotter High School received their White Coats! The White Coat Program is an intensive internship program. Tobias Pugsley, VP of Marketing and Communications encouraged these students to “Be curious and get out of your comfort zone” as they experience different careers through Baxter Health.

This past weekend, a young lady reporting on deer season changes for Springfield television station KYTV, channel 3, made the statement that the deer killing “Chronic Wasting Disease” does not affect people. That is an incorrect statement, which is easily debunked. It does transfer from deer, elk, cattle or sheep and goats to humans and hundreds or perhaps thousands have died horrible death from what it is… an infestation of something called ‘prions’ in the brain.
