Peggy Mason The regular meeting of the Flippin City Council was held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Flippin City Hall. Members present were Tony Ford, Lacie Bettencourt and Margaret Ott, with Mayor Heith Hogan presiding.
Friday-Sunny with a high near 87 degrees and a low of 63 decrees with a slight chance of rain. Saturday- Mostly Sunny with a high of 92 degrees and a low near 67 degrees. Slight chance of rain possible. Sunday- Mostly sunny with a high around 94 degrees and a low near 68 degrees. Next week expect Temperatures to in the mid to low 90s for highs and 70s for lows with increasing chances of rain.
Two meetings of the Bull Shoals City Council occurred last week, the first being its regular monthly Workshop and, immediately following, a Special Called Council Meeting. Both were held on Tuesday, August 22 at Bull Shoals City Hall. All City Councilmen were in attendance, as well as Mayor Mike Savu and Recorder Tina Bailey.
Jerry Elwin Edwards, 76, of Bergman, passed away on August 16, 2023, in Harrison. Jerry was born on June 12, 1947, to Elwin and Pearl Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Jolene Edwards; daughters, Glynna (Ken) Allen, Jade Edwards, and Karsen Edwards; many family and friends.
Donna Foster (née Ruggs) of Eureka Springs, passed away on August 11, 2023 at the age of 66. Donna grew up by the Gulf of Mexico in south Houston, Texas, but had made Northwest Arkansas her home for more than 30 years and loved her small town.
