Something we can look at planting in the Spring for hay or forage production is Oats. This often-overlooked grain has been developed over the years to have more forage potential than the original development as a grain crop, however it can still be harvested for grain.

Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly all-u-can-eat fried fish and shrimp dinner this coming Friday, March 3 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
