Last Saturday, December 3, the VFW Post 1341 of Bull Shoals was proud to present a check for $800 to the combined police and fire departments of Bull Shoals for their Shop-With-Cop program. This is an annual thing that we partner up with our city protectors.

His name is John Ross, but he goes by Jack. Jack is a decorated Army veteran. Jack served 2 tours in Vietnam. His first tour he was a door gunner on a helicopter, and he liked helicopters so much that he decided that when he got back to the U.S., he went to helicopter pilot training.

William (Billy) Benedix, 54 of Flippin, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2022, and is finally at peace. He was born in Elgin, Illinois, to Walter and Rosalie Benedix Jr. on July 20, 1968. Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
