Wilbanks Memorial

It is with honor we remember Charles “Max” Wilbanks, a longtime resident of Flippin, Arkansas. On May 4, 1935, Max was born to Eva May & William McKinley Wilbanks in Pontiac, Missouri. He grew up and lived his entire life near Flippin. Max passed from this earth on October 11, 2022.

Alberta Orlove of Yellville

Alberta “Misty” L. Orlove, 81, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022, at her home, where she has lived for the past 22 years. She was born on November 19, 1940, in Norfork, Virginia to Edward and Effie Mae Lewis Cappola.

Panthers Fall in Salem

The Yellville-Summit Panthers traveled to face the Salem Greyhounds in a conference contest Friday, October 14, at 7 p.m. The conditions were clear skies with a south wind blowing approximately 10 mph and a temperature of 78 degrees at game time.

Saturday, October 15, the Arkansas Razorbacks traveled to play the Brigham Young University Cougars in a non-conference NCAA football game. The Hogs knew the trip was long and the Cougars offense would come to play.

Turkey Trot 2022

Friday, October 14, Turkey Trot 2022 began with the local bands playing after opening remarks from Representative Jack Fortner of Yellville. The planners were lucky enough to get gorgeous weather with hi temperatures in the low 80’s and low temperatures in the upper 60’s and all the sunlight needed to have a spectacular time.
