Apprenticeship Programs Address Cybersecurity Deficit in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK - The Office of Skills Development (OSD), the Arkansas Center for Data Sciences (ACDS), and Forge Institute are hosting the Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Employer Accelerator on Wednesday, September 14, at 10 a.m. to help Arkansas employers solve their challenge of hiring and retaining a talented cyber workforce. Ouachita student-athlete Clark Yarbrough remembered

ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Baptist University senior Clark Yarbrough, 21, of Rowlett, Texas, died September 4. A business administration/sport management major and starting defensive lineman for the Tiger football team, Yarbrough was the son of Mattie Yarbrough of Rowlett. He is remembered on campus for the example he set as a leader, a scholar-athlete, a friend and a man of faith.

Flu Season is coming

On Thursday, September 29, the Marion County Health Unit will conduct a free clinic to issue flu shots. The clinic is scheduled to be a drive-thru clinic, weather permitting, at 707 HWY 202 West in Yellville. The Clinic will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The flu shot is available at no cost. Are you ready to channel your inner superstar?

Show us what you’ve got at the annual Turkey Trot lip sync contest! The event will be held on Friday, October 14, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on the Turkey Trot stage. It is open to ALL AGES from preschool to adults! There will be four divisions in the lip sync: elementary (PreK-4th grade), middle school (5th-8th grades), high school (9th-12th grades), and adults (ages 18+). All area residents are encouraged to participate.

Bomber Golf Team needs help

On Wednesday, September 21, Mountain Home is hosting the AAA 5-A West Boys & Girls Conference High School Golf Championship, and they need volunteers to keep score for groups and help maintain pace of play.
