Every small town seems to have a “spot.” The place where everyone goes to hang out. Those spots often become the hub because of the people who run them. Flippin in the 1960’s was no different. Over the years there were several different little cafes, a few I remember on Main Street, but most of them were open only for breakfast and lunch. But in the early and mid-60’s, the Razorback Drive-In became “the” place to be for a lot of us. Opening around 1962, the Razorback was started by Rudy and Wanda “Dude” Johnston, and it sat where Gray’s Diner now is, although it was a different building entirely.
