FI Awarded Grant to Help Arkansas Small Businesses

Little Rock – Forge Institute announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration as one of three (3) awardees of the Cybersecurity for Small Business Pilot Program. The funding allows the Arkansas Cyber Defense Center (ACDC) – which launched last spring – to further build capacity and expand critical cybersecurity services to address the escalating cyber-attacks targeting small businesses.

Arkansas Weekly Gas Price Update

Average gasoline prices in Arkansas have fallen 6.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.31/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 stations in Arkansas. Prices in Arkansas are 46.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 48.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has risen 7.3 cents in the last week and stands at $5.04 per gallon.

BSCC discusses full agenda

Bull Shoals City Council met in regular session Thursday, August 25, at 6:30 p.m. All council members were present, as well as Mayor David Nixon, Recorder Tina Bailey, Police Chief John Ainsworth, Fire Chief Brent Mitchell, and Planning and Zoning Chairman Bonnie Sumner. There was standing room only as the Council moved through the agenda.
