Martin Longoria loves to answer questions and help his fellow Veterans, so much so that he made it his job. Longoria is a patient advocate who helps up to 15 Veterans a day at VA’s Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Veterans suffering with sleep apnea, daytime drowsiness, insomnia and excessive snoring may find relief through Salisbury VA’s expanded Sleep Clinic. The clinic now boasts six beds with state-ofthe-art equipment that can perform 42 overnight sleep studies per week.

Washington – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, was presented the Golden Plow award by the American Farm Bureau, the highest honor the organization gives to a sitting member of Congress.

Little Rock — Conservation plans for the future were the front-running topics at today’s meeting of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at its Little Rock Headquarters. In his report to the Commission, Director Austin Booth spoke about the agency’s newly developed strategic plan and annual report, which were both unveiled last night at a meeting with partner agencies and stakeholders.

Mountain View – The Arkansas State Fiddle and Banjo Championships return to the Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View on Saturday, August 6. The event features two state championships in one day – banjo players will compete in the morning and fiddle players will compete in the afternoon.
