LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas School Safety Commission has been set up again to update measures to protect students while they are in school. The governor issued an executive order to reinstate the commission in the wake of the mass murder of 19 children and two adults at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24.

Washington, DC — President Joe Biden signed bipartisan, bicameral legislation into law today championed by Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3), U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), and Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-1) to level the playing field for American exporters and help fix supply chains by easing shipping backlogs.

Washington –– U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), a senior member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, urged Senate passage of comprehensive legislation to deliver earned benefits for all generations of veterans exposed to toxic substances during their service in our nation’s uniform.

Washington –– The U.S. Senate overwhelmingly passed the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022. This landmark legislation backed by U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) will deliver toxic-exposed veterans their earned Department of Veterans Affairs health care and benefits.

On Saturday, June 18th, Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) will honor Third District students who are headed to U.S. Military Service Academies this coming school year. The event will celebrate student accomplishments, provide them with a chance to meet their peers, and allow them to receive advice from Congressman Womack and service academy graduates as they prepare for their next chapter. Arkansans who recently graduated from academies will also be recognized during the event.

The Tri-State Press Convention will be held June 23 – 25 in Memphis, Tennessee. The convention will begin on Thursday, June 23 with events, conferences and luncheons to advise, teach and tour sites in Memphis and surrounding areas.
