Womack Celebrates West Point Class of 2022, Arkansas Graduates

Washington, DC - Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3), Chairman of the West Point Board of Visitors (BOV), today joined Superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams, Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley, Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James McConville, and other Army leaders at the U.S. Military Academy’s (USMA) graduation ceremony. The event honored the more than a thousand young men and women, including four cadets from the Third District, who were recently commissioned into the United States Army as second lieutenants.

BSCC discusses high-water, sidewalk and water meters

A proposed high water launching ramp and the sidewalk project brought a good citizen turnout to the Bull Shoals Council meeting May 26. Previously Council asked Nixon to continue looking into a high-water launching ramp at an undetermined location near Bull Shoals and how it might be funded. Frequent high lake levels over the past few years have made accessing the lake difficult when launching ramps and parking lots are flooded.

Barrett signs with Ottawa

Tyler Barrett signed with Ottawa University in Kansas to become a part of the Braves Track and Field team. Barrett won the State Championship in the Shot Put for 2023 and was part of the Panther team that finished runner-up for the second year in a row.
