Bull Shoals Library’s book sale Memorial Day weekend was a big success. BSL appreciates all the people who came to support the library. BSL is a 501C3 non-profit organization run by volunteers and depends on fundraisers and donations to provide its services.

YMOTS Welcomes Lan Law to the Square in Yellville

Although you may not have heard his name, yet Lance Curtis, the brother who started it all at the tender age of one, stepped into the spotlight playing music with his Papa Gage and Uncle Shannon, and in that moment, he knew that the stage is where he belonged. Lance greatly admired and respected his Papa, who helped him develop his craft and his passion for music. It was obvious to his family from an early age that Lance had inherited his Papa’s “ear” for music, and at the young age of only 9 years old, he became proficient in playing the guitar and piano.

BTSA welcomes Crooked Creek Band

On June 10, 2022, from 7 to 9 p.m. Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts (BTSA) welcomes The Crooked Creek Band to the stage. Crooked Creek is a bluegrass band that has been performing in the Twin Lakes region for over 15 years. Although they take their music seriously, they also know it’s more important to have fun than to be musically perfect, and mixing it up with some rock and roll and originals too. The band is comprised of Drew Pierce on banjo, Emily Kaitz on bass, and Art Kershaw on guitar. All are seasoned musicians and songwriters who have played all over the country. Emily’s unique writing is nationally recognized.

Pyatt 50th Reunion scheduled

Pyatt graduates of 1972 should make plans to attend the 50-year Class Reunion The Class Reunion will be held at the Pyatt Community Building on June 18, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Attendees are asked to please bring finger foods and desserts for an open buffet.
