On Monday, March 14, the Yellville-Summit School Board met in the administration building at 5:30 p.m. Board members Robin Lee, Travis Doshier, Eleanor Davenport, Nathan Rogers and Jason Jones were attendance, along with Wes Henderson, Superintendent.

Todaro for MC Treasurer

Tony Todaro has announced he is a candidate for Marion County Treasurer. Todaro was appointed Collector unanimously by the Marion County Quorum Court in January to complete the remaining year of the former collector’s term. In just two short months the Collector’s office has cut wasteful spending and updating office practices to make it more efficient.

93rd General Assembly Review

From one-time bonuses to increased funding for safety equipment, the 93rd General Assembly made support for law enforcement a top priority in this fiscal session. Act 224 provides a onetime stipend of $5,000 to full-time certified city and county law enforcement officers as well as probation and parole officers.

Cooking with Mumzy!

Hello readers of the Mountaineer Echo, I hope this week’s recipe’s find you all in good health and happy thoughts. Things are going well with the family currently. We are starting to get really excited about spring getting here, quite tired of the cold weather, as Robert says 50 degrees and below is freezing. Hopefully some of these quick recipes will come in handy as we are all preparing our gardens and enjoying some warmer weather outside. I know as the warmer weather comes around, I enjoy more time outside and I do not like to cook as much. As Always, Remember the Little Things in Life, they bring us so much joy and memories.
