Arkansas Proclaims LOCAL QUILT SHOP DAY

Little Rock– In recognition of the importance of independent quilt shops to local economies, Saturday January 22, 2022, is proclaimed to be Local Quilt Shop Day throughout Arkansas. Local Quilt Shop Day is an annual arts celebration focusing on the rich tradition and history of quilting in our communities.

Saturday January 08, 2022, Ring-billed Gulls stopped in Mountain Home this past weekend to take a break in flight and see if anyone would be so kind as to give them some vittles to get the energy to make the rest of the voyage to their next stop. According to the records Ring-billed Gulls are not that uncommon in Arkansas, especially during the winter.
